Message ive been hearing for a while now many people saying you dont need stainless unless you drive on salty/wet roads etc etc. this is not true for one simple reason: condensation inside the exhaust pipes. once the car is shut down the hot exhaust gases left over in the pipes condense and will leave small amounts of water sitting in the pipes, there are plenty of other ways for moisture to come in contact with the piping as well. it will take some time, but eventually aluminized piping WILL rust out. many people still have original exhaust piping on their cars that havent rusted through yet, but in time they will. stainless is THE best solution for exhaust piping, period. yes its quite a bit more, yes aluminized will do if you dont plan on keeping your car for a long time, but please stop saying you dont need stainless based on the fact you dont drive on salty/wet roads, because its just not true. just thought id put this out there.
